Hwa Yun is an esteemed piano teacher with an impressive record of achievements and contributions to the music community. With diverse experience in competitions, concerts, and volunteer activities, she brings extensive expertise to her teaching practice.

She has received Gold Championship Awards at the California State Talent Competition, Annual Western Regional California State Talent and Performing Arts Competition, and the prestigious KTVN piano competition. Hwa Yun’ s exceptional piano playing has been featured in commercials for a prominent Korean TV station.

Beyond her competition successes, she actively participates in concert performances. As a mezzo-soprano section leader and pianist in the Gloria Children's Choir, Hwa Yun performed at Carnegie Hall with renowned composer, John Rutter.

With a wealth of experience and knowledge in performance techniques, music theory, and repertoire, Hwa Yun inspires and guides students of all ages in their pursuit of musical excellence. She is dedicated to sharing the gift of music and positively impacting her community. She is a member of K Duo with a mission to provide all genres of music to audiences with hope and love for music. She has passionately contributed her talents as a church pianist for over 18 years.

Hwa Yun holds a Bachelor's degree in Music and a Master's degree in Teaching Education, further solidifying her knowledge and skills in music instruction. Hwa Yun is open to teaching students of all levels, from beginners to advanced.
