started playing the violin at the age of 7.

Satya studied classical music with private teachers and had experience in youth orchestras most of her childhood. In High School, she attended Cabrillo community college, and studied privately with Sue Brown, along with taking her chamber ensembles, and symphony courses.

Satya completed her Associate’s degree in Music from Cabrillo College, where she studied classical and jazz before transferring to San Jose State University to complete her Bachelor’s degree. While attending SJSU, she studied with Diane Nicholeris, Paul Ehrlic, Bruce Moyer, and Gwendolyn Mok. Satya also attended the Apple Hill Chamber Music program in New Hampshire during the summer seasons.

Satya graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music in Spring 2016 and is currently studying jazz at the Berkeley Jazz school. She is learning music production, and she continues to learn classical repertoire and perform.

Satya believes that everybody should have the privilege to play and experience the benefits that music can offer. She has taught private piano and violin lessons in the Bay Area for the past 10 years, and enjoy working with all ages and personalities in hopes of spreading music into the community.
