Born in Taiwan, Ms. Sarlena started learning piano at the age of 5 and cello at the age of 9. During her studies in Taiwan, besides school, she also actively participated in performances and masterclasses, receiving guidance from renowned artists such as Roman Zaslavsky, Oxana Yablonskaya, Krystian Tkaczewski, Ye Sijing, Walter Ponce, and Piotr Paleczny. At the age of 15, she held her first solo piano recital, marking a significant milestone in her musical journey.

She has earned first prizes in prestigious competitions, including the Città di Barletta International Competition, the Vienna International Chopin Piano Competition, and the MEDICI International Music Competition. In 2023, she began pursuing a bachelor's degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under Professor Corey McVicar, majoring in piano performance.

Ms. Sarlena believes that music is a powerful bond that brings people together. She uses her free time to give performances in open spaces such as hospitals, orphanages, and nursing homes as a volunteer. She hopes her music can soothe people’s souls, comfort them, and even make them laugh.

Her passion for music extends beyond her personal achievements. She began teaching at the age of 15, offering piano and cello lessons for beginners. Sarlena sees education as a crucial part of life and strives to inspire her students to explore their musical potential. She encourages them to approach challenges with curiosity and determination, creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

Through her teaching, performance, and volunteer work, Sarlena continues to share her love for music, aiming to instill creativity, discipline, and joy in those she guides.

Ms. Sarlena is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
